When it comes to makerketing of fed cattle what are your thoughts on independent feeders negotiating cash with coop style pools to try and gain leverage? Should Farm Bureau develop policy around this model?

37:51
The cattle market has many pieces and sometimes parts of the supply chain struggle to recognize how it all works. Do organizations like Farm Bureau need to work better at producer education?

Fantastic information KatieRose. Thank you so much!

HI Clay, I think everyone can always be better at education. Educating producers, consumer and more. I think it is CRITICAL that the entire industry understand the other segments better. Like I said, processing animals into food is hard. Producer need to better understand the complexity of making food. There is a difference in producing cattle vs producing beef. Meat packers also need to understand that producing cattle is HARD. There is so many variable and challenges. The entire supply chain needs to better understand how the industry works and each others struggles. I hope that helps!
